The rules of the road

Hi. Welcome to Mimso AI. This page sets out how you can use Mimso AI, and what happens if you don't play nice. It applies to anyone who signs in.

By making an account or using the site you're telling us you've read this. If you don't agree with any of it, please don't sign in.

What Mimso AI is

Mimso AI is a chat interface that lets you talk to a few different language models. We send the relevant parts of your chats to the model providers so they can reply. We also let you upload files, search the web, and run code in a sandbox we control.

Your account

• You give us an email and a password. Keep the password safe; we can't see it in clear text.
• One person per account. Don't share your login.
• You're responsible for what happens on your account, including what your chats produce and any files you upload.
• You need to be old enough to legally agree to this where you live (usually 13+, sometimes 16+).

Be reasonable

The fastest way to lose access is to do something obviously off. Specifically, please don't use Mimso AI to:

• Break the law, or help someone else break it.
• Hurt people, including with hate, harassment, threats, or content that sexualises minors.
• Try to break Mimso AI itself: hammering it, scraping it, reverse-engineering the backend, abusing our keys, etc.
• Pretend to be Mimso AI or a Mimso AI employee somewhere else.
• Spam other people, or use Mimso AI to send unsolicited messages on someone else's behalf.
• Re-sell Mimso AI to others without us agreeing first.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account. If something serious happens we may have to share information with the police or other authorities.

Output you produce

What the model writes for you is yours to use, subject to the obvious caveats: it can be wrong, it can be confidently wrong, and it can echo something it learned that has its own copyright. Sense-check anything important. Don't take medical, legal, or financial advice from it.

You keep ownership of what you write into Mimso AI. By using the service you grant us a narrow licence to store and process it so we can show it back to you and reply to it. We don't use your chats to train any model.

Things we might change

Mimso AI is a growing thing. We may add features, change features, remove features, or change the price of any future paid tier. If something material changes we'll say so on the site. If you keep using it after a change, we'll take that as you being okay with it.

No warranty, no promise of perfection

We try hard to keep Mimso AI running and useful. We can't promise it will always be available, always be correct, or never lose data. Use it for serious things at your own judgement, and back up anything you can't afford to lose.

Liability

To the extent the law lets us limit it: we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, etc.) caused by your use of Mimso AI. Nothing in here limits liability for things the law says can't be limited (fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, and so on).

Ending things

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Data. We can close an account if you break these terms, or if we decide to stop running Mimso AI. When an account closes, your chats and files go too.

The boring legal bit

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If we have a dispute, the courts of England and Wales get to hear it.
